Musical Theater Productions in Santa Fe, New Mexico

“Tri-M Productions … has revived musical theater as a regular feature in Santa Fe, with a rousing rendition of the classic, Oklahoma! performed just last month.”

Santa Fe New Mexican editorial, December 10, 2024

2026 marks the semi-quincentennial — the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence — and Tri-M Productions is celebrating in style! The show will include songs celebrating our independence (from Hamilton and 1776), our state (lead by our Youth Chorus), and all the people of our country (with songs from West Side Story, Ragtime, La Cage Aux Foles, Wicked, In the Heights, and the recent Tony-Award-winning Suffs). It will feature fourteen of your favorite Tri-M stars — including Jessica Pacheco, Jason Martinez, Martín and Priscilla Chavez-Borjas, and Paul Ashby, moving from tender ballads like There’s a Place for Us from West Side Story to stirring anthems like Make Them Hear You from Ragtime, all wrapped in Tri-M’s signature eye-popping choreography. Rounding out the celebration: a youth chorus performing Spanish folk songs, exhilarating dance numbers, and a live pit band.

Performances: Friday evening, July 3 at 7:00 pm and Sunday afternoon, July 5 at 2:00 pm at the St. Francis Auditorium, New Mexico Museum of Art.

Developed and Directed by Marilyn Barnes, with music direction by Cora Harms. Choreography by Diana Orozco-Garrett.

Tickets: $40 (front), $20 (middle), $10 (back — also available at the door). Reserve yours now at www.trimsantafe.org.  We desire to create a tapestry that weaves us altogether, sending you out feeling restored and hopeful.

Tri-M Productions is Partnering with the Santa Fe Faith Coalition for this musical revue to raise donations for their efforts supporting our current immigrants.

The Santa Fe Faith Coalition on Immigration is a multi-faith initiative organized in 2025 to help immigrants thrive in our community. As a Coalition, we believe that collective action, sustained support, and a shared commitment to care and compassion are essential to ensure no one is left behind and that our community grows. Through advocacy, volunteer, and financial and material support, we help our immigrants and the local non-profit organizations working with them. Several of our non-profit partners include but are not limited to: Adelante, Gerard’s House, NMILC, Los Cumbres, and Contigo Immigrant Justice.

Your financial gifts allow The Faith Coalition to synchronize financial support to these critical non-profit programs and their clients. Thank you very much for your support.

Tri-M Productions is planning its “Annual Tri-M Gala: A Lovely Night.”  Returning again this year on Friday September 18 to the New Mexico Governor’s Mansion, our theme will feature our Thanksgiving production, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.”  We plan a Lovely Night; you might not “meet your prince” (or princess) but will meet and mix with our Tri-M talent while enjoying heavy hors d’oeuvres and feathery desserts with pink and glittery drinks.  We hope to have your hosts in fairytale costumes with Cinderella motifs (glass slippers, carriage centerpieces, midnight strikes of the clock). You too can put on a formal gown and step out for an evening of magic and song – or dress as you wish and just enjoy the Lovely Night!

Tickets $150 each, $100 tax-deductible, to benefit our company and keep us delivering the musicals people love!

For our big Thanksgiving season musical, Tri-M Productions presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella”!

In 1957 Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, at the top of their game, were asked to write a musical of the classic fairy tale of Cinderella – for the new medium of live television.  That version, with its well-known story and famous songs, has been improved and enhanced over the years into a full Broadway-style musical.  We will be doing the “enchanted” version, with a lead Fairy Godmother and a strong and willful Cinderella seeking a better life.

Six shows, four the weekend before Thanksgiving and two on Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend itself.  A great opportunity for fans and families in Santa Fe to see a classic show!

Tickets: $60 (front), $40 (middle), $20 (back — also available at the door).

Auditions for “Cinderella” have been announced for August 20 and 22 (see Audition Board at Theatre Santa Fe) — contact Marilyn Barnes for a slot (505-670-4854, marilynpearlbarnes@gmail.com).

Tri-M Productions will present “Tootsie” with music and lyrics by David Yazbak February 11–21, 2027 at the New Mexico Actors Lab theater. Stay tuned for audition information and tickets!
