A Little Night Music” is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. Inspired by the 1955 Ingmar Bergman film “Smiles of a Summer Night,” it involves the romantic lives of several couples. Its title is a literal English translation of the German name for Mozart's Serenade No. 13, K. 525, “Eine kleine Nachtmusik.” The musical includes the popular song "Send In the Clowns", written for Glynis Johns.
Since its original 1973 Broadway production, the musical has enjoyed professional productions in the West End, by opera companies, in a 2009 Broadway revival, and elsewhere, and it is a popular choice for regional groups such as Tri-M Productions. It contains scenes includes adult romantic relationships, implied gun violence, adult language, smoking, and staged intimacy. Patrons are advised about the content.
This production will be in the New Mexico Actor’s Lab Theater, opening on Thursday March 7 and for our first time featuring performances over three weekends (though we close with a Saturday matinee on March 23 and no performance on Palm Sunday). Tickets will be $50 for the center section and $30 for the sides; half-price tickets are available for Student/Youths using the Coupon Code “C-IamaStudent”
UP NEXT IN JUNE!
Legally Blonde is a 2007 musical with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach. It is based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name.
The show tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner. She discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others, and she successfully defends exercise queen Brooke Wyndham in a murder trial. Throughout the show, very few characters have faith in Elle, but she manages to surprise them when she defies expectations while staying true to herself. Think Barbie goes to Law School!

We netted over $20,000 in ticket sales and donations from our three May–June benefit concerts and our Benefit Gala in September. And thank you to the Company members who donated their talent for free to make these concerts happen, and support our mission to bring quality musical theater to Santa Fe and provide opportunities for local talent to perform.
Tri-M Productions received 46 separate donations from women in this wonderful Santa Fe organization. We will use this money to further our program of bringing students to our shows, providing transportation, dinner and the ticket.
